The Oxford English Dictionary in 2001 started collecting words that are associated with science fiction and to then find the earlist uses of each word. The result is the Science Fiction Citations page. In it, there are tons of SF related words. Also, there is a graph that lists the earliest citations by decade. The graph is interesting in itself. From it, its clear that the 1930’s – 50’s were the golden age, at least as far as new ideas and concepts, as described by the words, are concerned. Hmm, let’s see, Heinlein, Asimov, Clarke, Williamson. Yup, you can see why.
