Quicksilver in Silk

Harper Collins is producing 1,000 (and only 1,000) copies of a silk-bound, limited edition of Quicksilver, Neal Stephenson’s first installment in the Doorstop Series. It costs $200…that’s about 21 cents per page. [via Big Dumb Object]

  1. Sigh. I hate not having a job. I’d love to pick up one of these (and one of each of the subsequent volumes, assuming they do it). But it just ain’t gonna happen unless I find work!

  2. Interestingly enough, it does not cost $200 at Amazon. Nor do you pay taxes or shipping…a bargain! Get out your slipsticks! Time to recalculate that per page cost!
