How Geek Are You?

I always though I was a geek through and through. However, there were pieces missing from geek-life. For example, I never saw The Empire Strikes Back in the theater (in fact, I saw Return of the Jedi without ever seeing ESB). Also, several teenage years went by where I did not read any science fiction at all, let alone on girl-less weekend nights.

So it should have come as no surprise when, a few weeks ago, I was informed (by Scott and JP) that I was not born a geek. What?!? Apparently, when I was youger I was just a dweeb who aspired to become a geek. Talk about an intervention. Yet somehow, that makes sense. In fact, my life seems to have a purpose now. Thanks, Scott and JP!

Is it any wonder I only scored a 35% on the UK Sci Fi Channel‘s geek test. Somehow I am ashamed.

  1. We’re here for ya man!

  2. Ack – 42%… I think it was the crop circle question – damn them and my need to fool innocent farmers.

  3. BTW John, we think of you as a geek and a dweeb and dare I say, part dork – If that makes you feel any better…

  4. You know, I never say “Empire Strikes Back” at a movie theatre either. In fact, saying “Empire Strikes Back” doesn’t making you a geek, it makes you insane especially when you’re watching another movie, like “Team America.”

  5. Thanks, Tim. It does make me feel better.
