POLL RESULTS: Pushing Young Adult Fiction

Here are the results of the latest SF Signal poll.

Have you ever personally gotten a kid hooked on science fiction or fantasy by suggesting to them a good book to read?

(29 total votes)

Yikes! Low voter turnout this week. Do we not like young adult fiction? Or, are we ashamed to say that we’re not doing our part in helping promote the literacy of tomorrow?

Be sure to vote in this week’s poll on your favorite Marvel superhero!

  1. I think it’s more that we’re not sure if getting them a book got them hooked, or just got them to also acknowledge the genere as a possible read. Or that we’re not sure what the answer is if it wasn’t a single book, but something long term. etc, etc. Too wide a question, maybe?
But hey, 16 people who definitely got another person hooked on SF, that’s a victory. πŸ™‚

  2. And BTW, your polls seem broken right now, since the site you’re using as the poll provider (snappoll) doesn’t respond… Been a few hours now.

  3. Good point! πŸ™‚

  4. ..and: I’ll look into it. :-S
