  1. “The Agony Column podcasts Charles Stross.” In case you weren’t aware, Apple is suing websites that use the term “podcast.” The recommended, safer, brand-free alternative is “audcast.”

  2. Posthuman blues lists TITUS GROAN as one of the best SF books never read. Oh, my aching back. GROAN is hardly SF, and it is included in the fantasy field only because, when it was written, fantasy was so small a field that anything even slightly odd might end up being included.

And the book is terrible: dreary, overwritten, plotless, pointless. If I could have back the hours I spent plowing the barren sands of this barren book, it would be only justice.

  3. Lou Anders asks if Apple operates the iTunes Music Store as a loss leader for its iPod products. The answer is apparent to anyone who has done any competitive analysis. If anything, it’s the other way around: a lot of people are wondering if there is *any* margin in the iPod Nano whatsoever. There’s boatloads of margin in every DRM-protected song download.
