  • Bandai understands what all fans of monster movies crave: An RC Mechagodzilla! Now that’s what I’m talking about!
  • It’s a Roy Thinnes DVD party as his SF projects The Invaders and Journey to the Far Side of the Sun have just been released on DVD.
  • At least one person in Hollywood understands that Bittorrent isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Jesse Alexander, co-producer of Heroes and Lost realizes that there are millions of viewers out there using the torrent network. It’s up to Hollywood to figure out how to profit from them. That does not mean knee-jerk lawsuits, FYI.
  • Robert Picardo and Joseph Mallozi talk about Season 5 of Stargate: Atlantis, complete with mild spoilers.
  • In case you haven’t availed yourself of the DVDs or online streaming options and you still want to catch up with LOST, then check out Sci Fi starting Sept 15th. Every Monday Sci Fi will air a 4-block of episodes, supposedly in order. Then you can wait, impatiently, with the rest of us for Season 5.
  • Speaking of LOST, Doc Artz has some ‘lost’ footage from Season 4.
  • The Chicago Tribune interviews Tricia Helfer about her upcoming role on the USA Network show Burn Notice, which starts this Thursday. You can’t go wrong with a show that has Bruce Campbell and Tricia Helfer.
  • Rumors have been circulating that Galactica will be receiving more television movies, a la Razor. Even more rumorous, Jane Espenson may be writing the first one.

  1. Yup, I’ve had the Roy Thinnes stuff on pre-order since it was announced and received them all recently. Not it’s just finding the time to watch.

I suspect Journey to the Far Side of the Sun will be far sillier than I remember as a kind (I thought it was cool back then.)
