Reminder: Tonight’s SciFi TV Premieres – Sanctuary and Clone Wars

Just a quick reminder that tonight marks the series premiere episodes of two new science fiction shows:

They both air at the same time (9 PM Eastern/8 PM Central), though I’m guessing there are replays throughout the week. However, it does beg the question: if you had to watch only one, which would it be?

Is this George Lucas’s Star Wars TV show he’s been teasing us with or is something else down the road? I thought we were supposed to have a Star Wars live action TV show with real actors and not some cartoon show. Don’t get me wrong, I have tons of respect for Lucas but this current project of his just doesn’t cut it for me.

  2. If I had cable, I’d be watching Sanctuary. As is, I’ll be searching for a streaming version of it tomorrow, but I wont look for Clone Wars.

  3. Thanks for the heads-up. I just scheduled Sanctuary to record on the DVR. I’m not sure yet if I’ll check out the Star Wars cartoon.

  4. I think they are still “developing” the live action show. As for which to watch, my wife made the decision for me! Friday is her night! So neither…

I checked the schedule for a repeat of Clone Wars and didn’t see anything for the entire weekend. Odd that they aren’t showing it a second time. Maybe Lucas wants to keep it under locks?

  5. Amanda Tapping versus Lucas crap is no contest.

Not that either is likely to be on tv here soon. 🙂

Well, this morning (see my blog babaling for today) I took an about face on Clone wars. I watched a making of special earlier this morning and they did a lot of work on this project. This is no flash in the pan endevour. Clone Wars looks good and when it airs here October 10th I’ll be watching. I can’t wait for Clone wars.

  7. Sanctuary is on if you want to watch it.

  8. Defintely Sanctuary.

    Enjoyed the premiere very much.

  9. I have to say I was quite pleased with Sanctuary and it was fun playing spot the cast members from Stargate too.

It more urban supernatural fantasy with “sciencey” explanations than SF, but that is fine.  Overall, I’m looking for some fun adventure with some unfolding mystery (as long as they don’t drag out the mysteries too much) – and it looks like it might deliver that.
