  1. Um, what do you guys do with these books after you’ve read them? Other websites have give-a-way contests. Just askin’ 🙂

  2. Some we donate, others we hoarde.  But yes, we really should do more giveaways…

  3. While just scrolling down the page my eyes caught on Ice Song and A Flash of Hex. I really like the cover for Ice Song. The title is easy to read and the blue tones work with the title. I actually went to Amazon to look at the description for this one.

House of Suns is on my reading list not because of the cover but what I had read about it. The cover for Harry and the Pirates caught my eye and I may have to check out the Necroscope series. Sounds interesting.

House of Suns is by Alastair Reynolds, which makes it automatic on my list*, unfortunately I’ve been trying to read REynolds chronologically, and I’ve got a way to go before I catch up to his output.  I do see it calling me from the shelf, so I may have to break my rule with him.  I prefer the thin, white cover font from his previous books.  I wonder why they changed it up for House of Suns.

*It never hurts to see what John is reading.  Over the past year, I’m gathering that we may have similar taste in subject matter.

So many books, so little good reading time.   I’m stacked into next year.

  6. Weyland, you’ll be happy to know that I’m about 50 pages into House of Suns and loving it.  🙂
