Description: SG-1 is called to Abydos to investigate a strange phenomenon: a whirling sandstorm that seems to whisper Dr. Daniel Jackson’s name.
Right, the Harsesis child is back and wants to learn more about his mother so he heads off to Abydos, manifests himself as a talking tornado and asks for Daniel. After a bit of discussion, SG-1 takes the kid back to the SGC where Daniel gets around to asking him for some way to defeat the Goa’uld.
The child places a lot of information in Daniel’s head, allowing him to build a defense system that will destroy Goa’uld motherships, but he also seems to obtain the personality and ambitions of a Goa’uld. What follows is Daniel quickly building a defense network of satellites and then precipitating a nuclear strike on Russia. As of this writing, I’m ten minutes from the end and calling a “Bobby Ewing” on the story. I bet Daniel will wake up and realize it’s all been in his head.
Ah yes. Score one for me! How can you tell it was a dream? There’s no way the government could move fast enough to build all that stuff in a year, no matter how much money they spent.
Lame. Sure, ostensibly Daniel was being taught a lesson but geez, how horribly cliche can you get? And was anyone else annoyed at how Shifu kept talking in platitudes? Can it kid and get to the point.
Not one of my favorites.
