I checked that John Wright thing the other day, and I can’t explain entirely but it still sounds bogus. Was ’08 or ’09 or whatever year the “mindblowing” antho was compiled from, that devoid of female mindblowing authors? I suppose it could happen once in a while, but I still find it fishy. If he and his cohorts would come out and say it was an anomalous year, and imply that future collections would be likely to be gender-balanced, they wouldn’t sound so bogus to me. But they were (when I checked) just yapping about political correctness etc. Defiance, my @$$.
Still want to read the book, but will have the library get it (like I can afford books these days anyway).
