A Sneak Peek At The Wizarding World Of Harry Potter

In case you didn’t remember, Universal Studios has been hard at work on a Harry Potter theme park at their Universal Studios Orlando property. Potter fans have been giddy with anticipation at the thought of shelling out more money just so they can get their fix of Potter. Until now, though, there’s been almost no information about what, exactly, this park will contain. Wonder now more! The Orlando Attractions magazine lets drop some information on the rides and attractions we can expect to find at Potter World.

Along with the usual assortment of restaurants, candy stores and curio shops (all themed with specific Potter references) there will also be at least two rides: a family friendly coasted called Flight of the Hippogriff based on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures class, and a Haunted Mansion-esque ride called Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. Not a lot of specifics about this one, though it seems to carry guests through several of the iconic areas of the Potterverse.

The release of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince on DVD/Blu-ray contained this ‘sneak peek’ video about the Wizarding World:

Not so much a sneak peek as a content free teaser, but then again, if you’re a Potter fan that probably doesn’t matter. For my money, I think our list of rides for the park is better.

Anyone out there planning on visiting this park if/when you are in Orlando?

  1. My mom and I already have a tentative vacation scheduled. In fact, we set that up as soon as we learned the park was going to be built. We’re hoping to do a Harry Potter/Magic Kingdom jaunt during Halloween.

  2.    One of my friends and I have been planing to go the minuet we heard about it. but seeing as we live in Cali. it has been tough to get things together and take time off from work. We want to go so bad we can tast it.
