Trailer: Nosso Lar
Nosso Lar, or The Astral City, is a Brazilian film based on the works of author Chico Xavier. In the original book, the story takes place on the eve of WWII, which explains the quick bombing scene in the trailer. But it’s also a spiritual tale:
In this vibrant narrative, the author offers us his observations and discoveries regarding life in the spirit world, acting as a sort of reporter who records his own experiences. It reveals a pulsating world full of life and activity organized in exemplary fashion, and where discarnate spirits go through steps of recovery and spiritual education supervised by high order spirits. Nosso Lar enables us to see beforehand the spirit world that awaits us when we abandon the corporeal body through physical death.
It has echoes of What Dreams May Come, but it certainly does look rather interesting. And if you’re interested in the original work, it’s online, for free and in English, here.
[H/T Quiet Earth]
I was expecting them to break into a song by Polyphonic Spree.
I believe in this movie, I’ve seen enough to understand about our “life” while HERE is the ilusion. Just a school.
Blessings my brothers.
