Sunday Cinema: Kong Island (1968)
From 1968, Kong Island is described thusly:
A beautiful woman raised by the apes, a mad scientist bent on controlling the minds of the apes and a handsome explorer. And no sign anywhere of Kong!

What’s more – I don’t think there’s even an island.
Mind you it does have a jungle girl and a supervillain with a gorilla-control machine in a cave… So, not a complete waste of time.
Right?
You know, assuming that even marginal movies are made by crews that include at least some “adults” with functioning brains and a modicum of critical thinking skills, does anybody ever suggest that the film they happen to be making is a worthless, incomprehensible, embarrassing piece of effluent? I suppose not or “Armageddon” wouldn’t have been made either.
