  1. They say the heart of cyberpunk is still beating.
And from what I see, I believe ’em
Now that old girl may be barely breathing
    But the heart of cyberpunk
The heart of cyberpunk is still beating.

    • Great way to mix one of my favorite musical artists of all time (I got to meet Huey once!) and one of my most beloved genres. Well done!

    • I had a hoot listening to both panels, but I gotta say this second one really got my juices flowing for sitting down and cranking out a few cyberpunk short stories.

As a writer, I’ve not touched the genre in many years because I’ve believed the genre to be a dead one. I guess it changed around just enough that I no longer recognized it. Maybe I need to rethink where my stories go and approach my cyberpunk writing from a slightly different angle.

      Thanks to everyone!

  2. For precursors to cyberpunk, Samuel Delany’s Nova has crew that plugin to a ship. John Shirley cites him as an influence in the intro to Black Glass.

  3. Nice discussion, Kelly is a blast – and a much better audio. If Jaym could get a new mic/rig it would be perfect.

  4. Jaym has *GOT* to get a better audio setup.
