The Fantasy Masterworks Series Gets a Beautiful Facelift

Considering that (1) I’m a sucker for Gollancz’s SF and Fantasy Masterworks book series, and (2) I’m a sucker for book covers, you could imagine how thrilled I am to see that Gollancz is rebranding the Fantasy Masterworks line with some beautiful art and design work.

The first titles coming from the relaunch include:

More titles will follow in 2014.

  3. The covers look great — except for Crowley’s. The title should be “ÆGYPT”, not “AEGYPT”.

      Totally agree. The old covers with illustrations by masters like Bob Eggleton and Donato Giancola were wonderful.

    • I half agree. I love (and prefer) the first series Masterworks run (from the 90s and 2000’s). But then they started doing these negative/neon image version that looked less than inspiring. These new ones are a significant improvement.
