Great article. In the quest to predict award winners and find books of “great literary worth”, many critics often forget that reading science fiction and fantasy should be fun. I pre-ordered The Darwin Elevator after seeing a blurb that compared it to Firefly and because i dig space elevators. Red Shirts is in my to be read pile and I am tempted by the Koch books every time I am in the book store. After reading this, I will probably give in next time.
