Cover & Synopsis: THERE IS ONLY WAR (Warhammer 40K) Edited by Christian Dunn
It’s been too long since I’ve read a Warhammer 40K story.
Check out the cover art and synopsis of an upcoming collection of short stories set in the perilous galaxy of Warhammer 40,000: There Is Only War edited by Christian Dunn.
Here’s the synopsis and a larger cover image:
Across mankind’s Imperium, battle rages. From the lowly troopers of the Imperial Guard to the elite Space Marines, humanity’s defenders are ever beset by threats. Alien races encroach on the edges of the, bringing worlds to ruin with blade, gun and claw. On countless worlds, mutated servants of dark gods seek to do their masters’ bidding and bring ruin to all that the Emperor sacrificed himself to build. And in the nightmare realm of the Eye of Terror, the arch-traitors who tore the Imperium apart ten millennia ago still lurk, plotting their revenge… In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

This is a reprint I’m sure, since there is an older anthology from the early years of BL that has the same name. 🙂
Good times!
At close to 900 pages, I think this is an omnibus of those earlier volumes.
IIRC, the older anthology was pretty damn big! Its been a few years though and memory is hazy, so you could be right. An omnibus of anthologies is certainly an interesting prospect. 😛
