Tuesday Tune: “After The Disco” by Broken Bells (Part 1 & 2)

Broken Bells is the supergroup of Danger Mouse and The Shins’ James Mercer and for their 2nd album, the team has put together a short SciFi film to accompany their (mostly) instrumental music. The film depicts a romance that devlops between Kate Mara (House of Cards) and Anton Yelchin (Star Trek), who “appear to get swept away into some futuristic landscape, spaceship, and disco.”

Here are both videos stitched together through the magic of YouTube playlists.

  1. I guess I’m too old. To me instrumental music is dynamic with time and key changes and lots of soloing.

  2. Love Broken Bells! If anyone wants to preorder their record here’s the iTunes link:

  3. Can’t wait for the record to come out in january!! Love this so much.
