Dystopian films are hot and this one, based on the award-winning book by Lois Lowry, should be too. Pus it’s got Kevin Flynn..er…Jeff Bridges!
The haunting story of The Giver centers on Jonas, who lives in a seemingly ideal, if colorless, world of conformity and contentment. Not until he is given his life assignment as the Receiver of Memory does he begin to understand the dark, complex secrets behind his fragile community. The film is based on Lois Lowry’s beloved young adult novel of the same name, which was the winner the 1994 Newbury Medal and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide.

Another Dystopian film and another film adaptation, this one from James Dashner’s popular book. It’s the first book in a series. Can the film sequels be far behind?.
When Thomas (O’Brien) wakes up trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, he has no memory of the outside world other than strange dreams about a mysterious organization known as W.C.K.D. Only by piecing together fragments of his past with clues he discovers in the maze can Thomas hope to uncover his true purpose and a way to escape. Based on the best-selling novel by James Dashner.
I’m pretty excited about X-Men and The Giver. I haven’t read The Maze Runner before though, and don’t really know anything about the story.. xD
Thanks for posting this!
