Hi Patrick – Loved the podcast and it was fun to hear everyone. But … MileHiCon started as a literary con, not a gaming con. (In fact, we didn’t add gaming until years later.) Yep, we’ve been at several hotels over the 46 years–the old Stapleton Sheraton (now gone), the Lakewood Sheraton in Lakewood, the Four Points, … even one year at a hotel that had a Playboy club in it at one point. (The year we had William Tenn as a guest … ah, memories!) – Rose
Hi Rose!
Glad you liked the podcast!
I’d heard from someone that MHC started as a gaming con, and I guess that was flat wrong. Ah well. Can’t believe everything you hear on the Interwebz!
Thanks for clearing that up 🙂
And it sounds like I need to get YOU to talk about your MHC memories one of these days 😉

Now *there’s* a big ol’ bucket of nostalgia. I don’t know if I’m the only one left who’s been to all of them … I thought Gail Barton had missed one, but she says not … but I’m definitely one of very few people who have attended every MHC. Lots of good memories there. See you at the con, and if I can stop running around we can sit and I’m probably all too willing to bend your ear for a while.
Sounds like a fun time. Will have to go one of these centuries
