Princess Leia Walking in NYC

This video made me laugh…and it offers the dual benefit of raising awareness of harassment. (It’s sponsored by ihollaback.org, a non-profit and movement to end street harassment.)

I have seen a few of these on the internet and am always astounded at how bat shit insane they are.

First off they take hours of film in order to get a few min of mostly inane greetings and then show them as if the rest of the world is like New York one of the few places on the planet where greeting someone you pass on the street is considered impolite.

And how is this supposed to make aware in every other English speaker in the world about harassment?

I know I feel infinity dimmer about everything for watching it.
