[Short Film] U.F.Oh Yeah

U.F.Oh Yeah

U.F.Oh Yeah” Written, directed and edited by Ryan Connolly
Ryan Connolly teamed up with Andrew Kramer, creator of Video Copilot, and Seth Worley, who worked on “Plot Device” and “Old/New” featuring narration by Patton Oswald. Together, they recently premiered Ryan Connolly’s new short film, “U.F.Oh Yeah.” through Film Riot. “U.F.Oh Yeah” tells the story of alien conspiracy theorist and vlogger Ned Dedry, who has dreamed of making first contact with visitors all his life.  However, when he finally gets his big chance, things don’t go quite the way he’d imagined. It’s a funny story despite coming across more like the punchline to a joke, reminding me very much of the classic Twilight Zone episode “Hocus-Pocus and Frisby.”

  1. The same thing happens in a Simpsons episode. Homer’s too heavy for a UFO, so they have to deploy a secondary beam to pick him up.
