The First Trailer for TV’s “Minority Report” is Here

Minority Report is one of my favorite science fiction films, so I’m excited about seeing this television adaptation airing on Fox later this year. Looks like it will feature some cool tech, just like the film.

The offical show description (“Minority Report follows the unlikely partnership between a man haunted by the future and a cop haunted by her past, as they race to stop the worst crimes of the year 2065 before they happen?”) sets the stage for what to expect: a weekly cop show set in the future. Here’s hoping that it fares better than Almost Human.

  1. “Here’s hoping that it fares better than Almost Human.”

You took the words right out of my mouth. I loved the movie, but I’m not sure I’ll invest any time watching this. I know that sort of attitude is self-defeating (if no one watches, of course it won’t last), but given Fox’s record, I honestly can’t see this show lasting very long.

  2. Fox keeps trying to be the science fiction network, but again and again they prove they have no connection with sci-fi audiences.

If Fox stays true to form, the pilot and first episode will be great. By the seventh episode it will devolve into ‘Let’s see how many stunts and special effects we can pack into the allotted time. Story? We don’t need no stinkin’ story.’
