“Strings” is a dark, succinct short film that raises more questions than it answer. Shot as though it were the last five minutes of a much larger film, it offers neither exposition nor resolution, choosing instead to merely hint at a larger world of possibilities. Though it feels like a simple production, its crisp, clean cinematography and slick fight choreography suggest that Loweree is a filmmaker to keep your eye on, while the underlying premise of the film will leave you wanting more…
Even if you tried to guess it beforehand, you still won’t see this ending coming.
