RIP: Tom Piccirilli (1965-2015)

One of my favorite authors, Tom Piccirilli, passed away over the weekend after a lengthy struggle with brain cancer. I’d been keeping up with his wife’s updates on Facebook, and was heartbroken to see the news. Tom’s work spanned over two decades and he straddled genre with ease. He’s a two-time winner of the International Thriller Writer’s Award for “Best Paperback Original,” a finalist for the Edgar Award, and winner of The Bram Stoker Award for Best Poetry Collection.

He will be missed by so many.
