Saturday Morning Fun: 1975’S The Lost Saucer – They Can’t Get Off of This Crazy Ride!


It was 1975 when the world first got the long-awaited answer to the question “Where can we see Ruth Buzzi and Jim Nabors play a pair of time-traveling androids from the planet ZR-3?”

That answer was the following TV pilot, The Lost Saucer.

Some questions were never meant to be answered.

  1. Ha! Thanks for the trip down memory lane; I remember enjoying this as a kid, along with a lot of the other Krofft stuff. And hey, it had a catchy theme song. 😉

    Now the first thing I think is “wow, the poor guy playing the dorse – that doesn’t look comfortable!

    Two ordinary humans, accidentally taken along by two nonhuman visitors aboard a time machine (with a central control console), unable to locate and return to the 20th Century, wandering through time and encountering a variety of cultures that offer social commentary on our own modern-day troubles. Sounds familiar, somehow…
